Former Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills star says Dak Prescott a ‘far’ better leader than Josh Allen

In complimenting his former Dallas Cowboys teammate Dak Prescott, Cole Beasley inadvertently took a shot at Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Without a doubt, Dallas Cowboys veteran Dak Prescott and Buffalo Bills superstar Josh Allen are two of the best quarterbacks in the league. Both men have had a great deal of success during their careers leading the offenses of two of the most storied franchises in the NFL.

However, for as good as Prescott has been in his high-pressure position with the Dallas Cowboys, Allen has been extremely impressive during his first five seasons in the league. After going 5-6 during his rookie campaign in 2018, the Buffalo Bills have been an elite team in the league since. Going 47-18 over the last four seasons with the two-time Pro Bowler as their signal caller.

One NFL veteran that has some unique intel into the gifts of both men is Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills alum Cole Beasley. The retired 34-year-old played seven seasons in Texas and three and half years in Northern New York. Both tenures came during the rookie seasons and rise to prominence for both Dak Prescott and Josh Allen.

However, it seems that when it comes to leadership, Beasley thinks one man is far better than the other. Last week, Houston Texans receiver Noah Brown took to Twitter to praise the early signs of leadership from rookie QB CJ Stroud and claimed it reminded him of Prescott, a former teammate.

Beasley responded on Twitter to a story on his quote by adding to the love for the Dallas Cowboys QB by saying, “Dak is by far the best leader I’ve played with. Dak’s huddle presence is something that can’t be taught. That says a lot if this is true.”

While that is an extremely nice thing to say about the two-time Pro Bowler, it also is an inadvertent slight at Allen. The Buffalo Bills starter has had much more success than Prescott, so for the Cowboys QB to be a “far” better leader despite his long history of in-season and playoff letdowns is a very interesting and surprising comment from the 11-year veteran.
