UFC Tonight: UFC 290 features two title fights

The UFC brings another stacked card for this year’s annual international fight week pay-per-view extravaganza with UFC 290 on July 8.

The company’s first PPV event in July is headlined by a major matchup at the top of the featherweight rankings when reigning division king Alexander Volkanovski returns to the division for a unification matchup with gifted striker and interim champion Yair Rodriguez.

In the co-main event, UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno returns to defend his gold against the only man to ever beat him twice, Alexandre Pantoja. The card inside Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena also includes the return of former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker and UFC Hall-of-Famer Robbie Lawler.

Following UFC 290, the promotion stays in Nevada but returns to the Apex Center for UFC Vegas 77 on July 15.

The card is led by the return of future Hall-of-Famer Holly Holm when she takes on rising-bantamweight talent Mayra Bueno Silva. The event on ESPN+ will also feature the return of several Octagon veterans, including Walt Harris, Norma Dumont, Ashlee Evans-Smith, and Tyson Nam.

On July 29, the MMA world leader returns to PPV for a second time in July and with what could be the best card on their 2023 schedule.

UFC 291 in Salt Lake City offers an absolutely stacked card led by a highly anticipated rematch for the BMF title. Furthermore, not only will Dustin Poirier vs Justin Gaethje II be for the popular fictional belt, but the bout could set up the next contender to lightweight king Islam Makhachev.
